FAQs

Home » FAQs

How much is a consultation?

An initial consultation with Dr Ismail is £290. They usually last about half an hour, but this will depend on the treatment you require and your personal circumstances.

How do I book an appointment?

Book an appointment on our ‘Contact Us’ page using the online form, or phone us on 020 7935 5540. We can generally answer calls at any hour of the day, not just during standard office hours.

What happens at my first appointment?

When you arrive, we will give you a patient registration form to fill out with your details. You will then meet with the Doctor and discuss any problems that you are having, and what treatments are appropriate.

How quickly can I be seen for an appointment?

At Queen’s Clinic we are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm, and Saturday from 9am to 6pm. This means that appointments can often be booked for the next day, or even sometimes later on in the same day.

Can I cancel or change my appointment?

Cancelling or changing an appointment is absolutely free and can be done over the phone. We will make every effort to book a new appointment date and time that suits you.

How much will my treatment cost?

We cannot give an estimate for how much the treatment will cost, until it is confirmed during your consultation. This is because all treatments are tailored to your personal circumstances by Dr Ismail. We apologise for any inconvinience this may cause.

Is my treatment covered by the NHS?

Queen’s Clinic is a private healthcare clinic, meaning our treatments do not come under the NHS and are paid for by the patient. However, we do accept most private health insurance providers.

What is the process with private insurers?

If you are privately insured, you will need to check with your insurer if your plan covers whatever treatment you are going to have with us. If so, bring your insurance number and claim number with you to your appointment. You will be required to pay upfront for the treatment at the Clinic, and we will then reimburse you after contacting your insurer.

How can I pay for my treatment?

You can pay using cash, credit card, debit card, American Express or international cards. Payment is taken after your consultation, unlss you are having an operation, in which case payment is taken in advance.

Will I have to go to hospital for my procedure?

The majority of our patients can have their treatments and even surgical procedures at the Clinic, without the need for a hospital visit. However, for some extensive gynaelogical procedures (such as a hymen reconstruction under general anaesthetic or a surgical pregnancy termination) it is necessary to go to hospital. Queen’s Clinic are partnered with Wellington Hospital and Portland Hospital for these cases.

What is the procedure for a medical termination?

You will need to book an appointment with us for an initial consultation to discuss your situation. On the day of the procedure you will need to come in during the morning, and be available to return to the Clinic 5-6 hours later in the afternoon. Let us know when you book the appointment so that we can ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible for you.
